Hockey Skills Program

Power Plus Program

  • This program is offered to skaters at a Minor Atom level and higher (for the current season).
  • Skaters MUST be proficient with their basic skating skills.
  • Length of Program: varies depending on the length of the school
  • Ratio: approximately 6:1
  • Register Early due to limited space!

Private Lessons

Private one-on-one instruction is available for hockey/ringette players for all levels. Lessons are generally taught in 30 minute increments and it is recommended that the skater wear full hockey gear with stick. Please contact our office for information about pricing and availability.













Accelerated

  • Prerequisite: Recommendation by coaching staff
  • Program Length: 2 - 3 days per week
  • This program is designed to accelerate the learning process through the basic foundation skills and prepare the skater to enter into the Skate Canada StarSkate figure skating program.

Advanced Rec Figure Skating

  • Prerequisite: Completed Stage 4 of CanSkate
  • Program Length: 2 days per week
  • Basic figure skating skills taught by NCCP certified coaches in a group format
  • Skaters can move into the STARSkate program at any time

STARSkate

  • Prerequisite: Base coach authorization
  • Program Length:
    • Pre-Preliminary: 2 - 4 days per week
    • Preliminary: 3 - 5 days per week
    • Passed Junior Bronze to Senior Bronze: 4 - 5 days per week
    • Pre-Juvenile to Juvenile: 4 - 5 days per week
  • Each skater is assigned to a base coach who will teach the skater private lessons. Private lessons are billed separately from ice time through the CTC office.

Competitive Singles, Pairs & Dance

  • Prerequisite: Base coach authorization
  • Program Length
    • Novice, Junior & Senior: 5 afternoons & 2 mornings per week
    • Pre-Novice: 5 afternoons per week
  • Private lessons are billed separately from ice time through the CTC office
