Shalena Rau Joins Disney on Ice

About 5 years ago, I was given a chance to work with a young talented girl who was looking for some new direction in her skating. Over time, we at the Preston club and CTC have watched this young lady blossom into a beautiful skater, who seems to float across the ice with no effort, and see her truly come into her own.

It makes me proud watching her skate with pride and with such a love for skating. What makes me even prouder is what a leader she has become. Both on and off the ice, she is one of the most amazing kids I know. Although, walking up a set of steps without falling can still be a challenge.

All of us at Preston and CTC wish Shalena Rau an amazing adventure as she joins Disney On Ice as a feature skater “Ariel”.

All the Preston Ice Shows have trained her well for this opportunity and she will look like an old pro out there (not old like me, but you know what I mean).

CONGRATULATIONS SHALENA!

You know where we are and you will always have a home here in Preston. Someday, after you amaze the audiences in the show, please come back and join us again!! As a skater… As a coach? We would be honoured.
