Welcome New Coaches!

The Preston Figure Skating Club and Champions Training Centre is pleased to announce and welcome two new coaches to our staff.

Mr. Grayson Lochhead:

Grayson will be joining our team as our new Dance Coach. He competed Competitive Ice Dance for 10 years. In 2016 he was the Novice National Ice Dance Champion and then moved on to train at the Junior Level for four years. Grayson represented Canada in 5 different International competitions. He has been a Regional Coach since 2018.

Grayson takes great pride in his high standards and feels that with these expectations, skaters tend to achieve positive results with acquiring solid technique for their overall skating and testing. When you see Grayson, please welcome him to our Skating Centre.

Mrs. Bev Dey:

This will be her 25th year as a Professional Coach. She is Provincially certified as level 2 in singles and dance and National Level Trained (Level 3). She has experience in all disciplines up to and including Gold Level Skaters.

Her passion for skating began at a young age. As soon as she stepped on the ice, she knew this was her sport. Mrs. Dey’s love for the sport keeps her motivated to be the best coach she can be for the skaters. She is always evolving as a coach, studying, and learning new techniques and ideas to help the skaters improve. Mrs. Dey looks at coaching as an opportunity to not only teach skating skills to be great skaters, but also life skills that will allow them to be successful in life and beyond skating. Welcome to our Centre.
