60 Years of our Annual Skating Gala

At the end of every Winter season, The Preston Figure Skating Club presents it’s Annual Skating Gala.

A state of the art ice show showcasing the skating skills achieved by all levels of skaters in our club; From beginners all the way up to competitive skaters and past alumni.

It’s an amazing one-of-a-kind show that you can’t miss.

Our 60th Anniversary Gala will be coming to the Preston Auditorium on Saturday, March 25th, 2023.

The Gala Setup

It takes a lot of volunteers to set up for our Annual Skating Gala. From building our set, to creating costumes and tons roles behind the scenes. The Gala is a team effort and we are always looking for more volunteers. Click below if you would like to help with our next Gala.

Gala FAQs

How do I know when my child practices?

By mid-February your child should receive a "group letter" for the gala. If you do not receive it by the end of February, please contact us at prestonfsc@live.com . The practice schedule will be organized (for the 1st half) by group letter. When you receive your schedule, look through the entire schedule for your child’s letter as they may practice more than once. The schedule for the 1st half practices will be out by early March.

What happens if my child cannot make all the practices?

That’s okay. All we ask is that you let us know via email at prestonfsc@live.com that we can forward any important information to you via email.

What does my child wear in the skating show?

Each skater will be provided with a costume. Fittings are starting at the end of February. You will receive an email advising you as to when to go for your fitting. There is no additional cost for the costume. They are the property of the Preston FSC, therefore on the Saturday night skaters will need to leave their costumes with the club (after the performance).

Where do the fittings take place?

The fittings will be taking place at the Sewing Room in the Prop Shed. The Prop Shed is located beside the Preston Auditorium. If you are on Hamilton Street looking at the Preston Aud, there is a city building to the right. Beside that, is the Preston Kinsmen Building. If you go to the side door of the Preston Kinsmen Building and up the stairs you will be able to find the sewing room

Do I need to purchase tickets for the skating show?
